If it’s a tight fit, then a bit of grease

Ti-Ti is fine because they are identical materials and therefore no risk of galvanic corrosion however, I’d still apply assembly paste to stop it creaking and meanng you don’t have to over-tighten the clamp

Regardless, it’s good practice to take it out or move it around once in a while. Make it part of your servicing routine.

Grease. You could still get galling or some other kind of bonding, titanium can be prone to that.

    Gripfill to stop it creaking

Actually copper slip is what I use ..wipe it off and re-grease periodically

Galvanic corrosion is not the only mechanism for corrosion so it is always good practice to apply some grease.

Thanks all, confirmed my thoughts. Will grease and readdress periodically. 🙂

Have a good look and make sure that there isn’t a carbon or aluminium insert in the seat tube
