Will be lower leg servicing my Revelations soon. They’re overdue a dust wiper replacement, I don’t have a proper install tool or socket to fit, any tips on making this as easy as possible.

I used my large blunt flat screwdriver at an angle across the top flat edge of the wiper seal and tapped it in, in stages moving around – seemed to work without bothering the delicate bits of the internal seal.

I have the proper RS tool bought on the back years of trying to force fox seals in, the RS ones are much easier, use your thumbs.

+1 for the Hope freehub seal tool, but that’s also a fairly specialist bit of kit. Bit of pipe or suchlike if you can find one of the right diameter.

I found the lid of a 5 litre bottle of screen wash from Halford’s fitted over my 35mm lyrik seals perfectly
