Yeah that happened when I was home the other weekend. Why anyone would cycle on the A19 is beyond me, not somewhere as a driver you’d expect to see cyclists 🙄

That A19 course is crazy or the organisers are
There are dips that hold mist/fog

I saw them out in severely restricted visibility, some of the lights they had were tiny and pretty much ineffective.

Best of luck to her in getting well soon, sounds like she’s upbeat about her prospects anyway. Didn’t everyones favourite Lance have a broken back?

I still stand by my original post that bikes should be banned from NSL DC’s like the A19 if they pass the duck/motorway test. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it’s a duck, if it looks like a motorway, and sounds like a motorway then bikes shouldn’t be there. The A19’s a motorway with occasional t-junctions.

Sad news. Oold fella year old too, probably been riding the same stretch of road for most of those 75 years. Sadly, times have changed. Just becasue you can and have, doesn’t mean you should.
