Hi experienced a bit of post slippage in the past and have been using a Salsa Liplock collar which seems to have sorted it. I've now got a Salsa Fliplock QR collar. Is it a case of simply closing the collar and then tightening the bolt to the same level as my bolt through collar or should I just go for the standard "meeting resistance at 90 degrees" approach to QRS? Using a torque wrench to make levels between the bolt through and QR collars has the QR lever meeting resistance well past 90 degrees.

Calm down and put down the torque wrench.

    1) Make sure the bushing/interface between "lever" and "QR" is lubed with something.

    2) "Meeting resistance at 90deg" is just a rough idea, and recommended for wheels, particularly those in badly designed front wheel dropouts.

    3) You just need to tighten it so that the post doesn't slip.

    4) You seem to be saying, if you set the torque in the closed position, the lever is "easier to close" (my words) than you expect. Assuming that's the case, why is that a bad thing?
