The thorn season seems to have started again. I went over to tubeless earlier this year as I was fed up with the little blighters giving me endless punctures.

Quick ride last night and 3 big "pffffsssssst….pfffssss….pffffsssss…." then silence. Wonderful! Big thorns too. makes me wonder how many are actually in there.

So far so good with tubeless, but judging by the amount of gunk that splattered out of the tyre, I'd better top it up again.

I bodged up a tubeless conversion before going to Spain the week before last.
There was a running joke in our group that I was Mr Puncture and would generally get 2+ punctures a day over there. This year though, I had no punctures.

Although I did have two crashes (one road, one off road) that I think were caused by the tyre burping and losing grip. The front tyre is very slack though on the rim which i think is the reason for that.
