Owing to the knackered thread on an old bike I have had to fit a threadless BB.

The major and rather obvious drawback to the design is that it threads into itself, and undoes therefore when you pedal.

After a couple of attempts I have managed to stop the thing falling apart midride, but it is creaking something rotton.

Locktite or Copperslip on the threads?

Not on back to front perchance?

i dont think so, because of the axle length/chainline but i will check that out just to be sure.
