  • Threaded (together) pressfit BBs – which one?

My PF30 BB (on a road bike) has started feeling a bit “clicky” and I am keen to get a replacement BB that threads both sides together. The two I am looking at are the Hope one and the WheelsMfg one. Using BB30 cranks so nothing untoward in terms of stepping down to a smaller axle, just like the idea of the cups being fixed together relative to each other.

Both need tools, but I have been lent the Hope tool so that is feeling like the frontrunner.

    Any reason why not? Cheers!

I installed the wheels mfg one last week, it seems decent and I’ve been happy with their standard press fit version. However if you have hope tool available I’d go with theirs. Everything I’ve read on here about them has been positive.

Cheers, I’ve ordered the Hope one now, good thread (no pun intended) on here from a few years ago helped too!
