  • Thoughts On Different Types Of Chainguide – Lower Jockey Wheel Vs. Lower Slider

    Hi all,

Looking for thoughts on different types (but not specific) chain guides.

Basically, guides with a lower jockey wheel roller (e.13 LG1, MRP G2), and guides with a slider (Straitline Silent guide, Weeze 4X). (I know there’s many with rollers – Gamut, older MRPs etc but not really thinking about them).

So yeah, how would you guys compare jockey wheels to sliders? Not necessarily specific models, but the concepts of them. Noise, performance, weight, durability, mud-jamability (sp) etc?

Use will be on a single ringed 4X/XC type hardtail, so not too much abuse, although too much noise and drag would be annoying.

Any input would be great 🙂

    Ta, Duane 🙂
