I’d buy one. Anyone else think they’re a neat idea? Does anyone at Works Components think they’re a neat idea, maybe?

They’ll need to rely on decent installation I imagine. any misalignment of the cups to one another and you’ve got forks squinty, any mis-centring and the bike’s tracking will be out (maybe not that noticeable that one…)

^ Like any off-centre headset. I’ve fitted a few now, it’s pretty easy with a bit of care and a ruler.

I had this exact idea only a few nights ago!

8mm on a 1.5 inch headtube…would be interested to see what the gain (if any) would be on normal mountain bike head tubes.

Have been in touch with works on this – they’ve just listen 5mm and 7mm options for 49mm head tubes

They’ll have 44mm cups with 5mm offset availabel soon too – all external cups only.

If I have enough spare steerer to make the external cups work for me, I’ll be giving this a shot.
