Having splurged a big wad on this post a year ago and already had a replacement under warranty I want to keep my current post working well. Has anyone taken theirs apart to grade and clean?

Please don’t troll me about two year warranties and invalidating it. I already know, just looking for constructive advice. I’m aware there is a sealed cartridge that just gets replaced by service centres. It’s just general basic maintenance if the top seal I’m asking about here. I’m only asking if any has undone the top cap, lifting it up and cleaning the grit/water ingress. Do you undo the grub screw then unscrew to top cap, like a Reverb or IS post?

Tick. I have the same question after having an early failure.

Seems daft not to strip, clean and lube that sliding parts. I’ve tried looking on mtbr for a “tear down guide” but no luck so far.

It’s in foreign (Swedish), but maybe Google translate will do a good enough job to get the gist of it:
