Loads of things have been invented that are good and truly useful but they have also had a much wider effect that ruins the good stuff.

I know it’s a cliche but I’ll start with smartphones. I love mine but I saw 2 folks walking side by side down a road on a beautiful morning both staring down at their phones. Life would be better on balance without them

And yet there’s been no free-for-all in the private use of helicopters on every patch of land up and down the country.
Because CAA rules apply to where you can fly and land one.
Balanced against how many lives have been saved all over the world by choppers at sea, in mountains, and other difficult to access areas, not to mention air ambulances, one of which saved my brother’s life after a motorcycle accident.
Sorry, you’ll have to do better than that.

sometimes you talk, sometimes you don’t, sometimes you look at what’s going on around you, sometimes you let your mind wander and dream.

    Can’t believe no-one’s mentioned nuclear/biological/chemical weapons.
I can cope with ‘normal’ weapons but that other stuff has always scared the crap out of me.

I have no issue with the technology nor with multi cavity klystrons. Just don’t like them in the kitchen warming up sub standard meals 8)

I understand your concern but it’s the “conventional” ones that keep killing people.
