    Take her up the cathedral?

    Or maybe punt her?

I punted a girl on a tombstone in Canterbury Cathedral on Xmas eve back in the early 90s. Despite spending my entire teenage years living there I have no ideas. My dates usually consisted of drink, drugs and avoiding getting arrested before getting laid.

How about the Roman pavement before the council close it.
rOcKeTdOg they would have to go to Herne Bay for a bingo hall 🙂

Ok. Is it a first date? If so find a pub with live music, that way you instantly have something up talk about/ listen too

Ok silly question may be, but..
Have you looked in the "whats on" section of the Gazete?
Always full of gigs, exhibitions and arty stuff.

Cafe des amis du Mexique is very nice. Especially the duck fajitas.

How about a bit of Brass Rubbing?

I know nothing about Canterbury, beyond standing in or around it in the dark trying to hitch hike to Paris when I was a student.

I'd go with the nice lunch somewhere. You can save the naked zorbing for the second date

I remember one first date in particular

After the first drink I suggested dinner, she said "what do you fancy" after a bit of thought I said "bangers and mash", she miss heard me, we went back to her flat and weren't seen for 4 days :p

There are a few nice places to eat in Canterbury so its really a case of picking whatever takes your fancy.

My opinion is that Canterbury does not have an abundance of nice green areas to wander through, Westgate gardens being the best of a bad lot.

You could get a bus/cab over to the coast for a sunset stroll along the beach? Personally I'd sack canterbury off and eat here:

then stroll along tankerton slopes into the harbour and have a couple of nice drinks at one of seafront bars

    then who knows?!

I would second the river boat punting and Café des Amis, alternatively Whitstable is worth a look, plenty of restaurants and galleries if that suits.
