Me + friend. Thanks for the ideas so far. The observatory sounds good, and Create but it is not open much today.

Stroll along waterfront. Brunch at Spoke and Stringer. Take a ferry up to Temple Meads and back. Plenty of places along by the river to stop and have a bite. Might be an interesting exhibition at the Anafini. Don’t go to the zoo.

Brandon Hill if the tower is open and then a wander round the docks stopping at Brunels Buttery for bacon sarnies.

Climbing in the gorge, canoeing in the harbour. Well you didn’t rule out either of those options!

More seriously how about a trip on a boat?

I’d go and see my cousin or my mate Mike. These may not be quite such good options for you but your question wasn’t specific.

Camera Obscura is a novelty attraction, we were pretty disappointed having built it up in our heads beforehand!

If you want just a little drinkie, The Apple boat on the river at Welsh Back is ace.
Funnily enough, the Chinese restaurant just off the bearpit does really good food, even if it’s nothing to look at from outside.
