Thunderstorms making the trails nobody’s but mine.
Manualling through puddles.
Trails muddy, but still hard and fast underneath.
But just that bit slower so zero pinch flats.
Getting so wet and muddy in the first 100 yards that I no longer cared.
Riding in torrential rain in just a t-shirt.
Roots like a game of snakes and ladders.
Having to pick lines that aren’t necessary in the dry.
Having to pick new lines because of the undergrowth.
Carving into the trails rather than sliding over the top of them.
Jet washing my bike, filthy from head to toe whilst commuters queue to get hone.
