I went on Saturday morning and it was snowy/icy/slippery/wet and puddly. Great fun.
There’s an open bit on the black, that was practically sheet ice. We had a few ‘moments’ on it!
Rode over one puddle and nearly got all the away across before the ice cracked. It was real thick. A lot of puddles deeper than hub depth.
I suspect now though most of that has gone and it will just be very puddly. We did the ‘black’ on Saturday in a hungover state and it was quite heavy going in parts.
If you stay on the Brandon side and ride the unmarked trails there, it generally stays a lot drier.
