Which makes me sound simple, but there is, it’s just above the moon and to the left a little bit. First time I’ve noticed it (apart from earlier in the evening), thought it might have been the international space station but it’s probably another planet.

Anyone more informed about astronomy? Would be nice to confirm my night shift addled brain hasn’t taken to hallucinating 🙂

I’d have punted for Venus, on the back of no evidence whatsoever other than rack of eye.

An app would be handy, but I’m not able to use a phone/ipad/anything outside where I am.

Apparently Venus is the third brightest thing in the sky. So probably that. Just glad other people can see it and I’m not imagining a UFO up there!

To the left of the moon earlier in the evening and above as we come round morning? It’s Jupiter. With a good set of binoculars you can also see its moons. Awesome.
