My bombers (QR legs) don’t hold the wheel square in the dropouts. I don’t recall any impacts/crashes but… I’ve taken another wheel and it’s the same. it’s as if the LH leg was 1-2mm too short (or the paint was too thick there).
What can I do? I fancy my chances with a small round metal file but is there any other option?
The fork in question is a 2003 Z1Sl, the wheel is ProII/717 from here (sits perfectly in a Salsa rigid fork – I have checked it first).

Forks bent? Or dropout worn from QR allowing movement?

You tryied another fork but also try another wheel in the misbehaving fork before doing anything drastic.

Is it a qr? Have you got the little springs the right way round? If not it’ll do that.

Got it, sorted.
LH leg has both the positive and negative spring (air). The RH leg has only the positive one and TST. When I deflated the negative spring the wheel fitted perfectly. Once the negative spring was over 20PSI the travel shortened and the leg got shorter messing everything up as soon as the wheel was removed.
Simple solution – leave the wheel on if the travel is adjusted.
