I fancy having a look at how they’re coming along doing up the canal. A look at Loxwood lock is on the cards as a point of interest on my ride from Guildford to… well how far can I get using the Wey South Path? It would be nice to stay by the water as much as possible.

I rode to Shoreham and back from Shalford last year on the Downs Link and apart from Christs Hospital southwards, it was pretty samey and not wildly interesting. Far too far really but the beers and fish and chips at Shoreham helped us make the poor decision to actually ride back!

So, am keen to hear from any kind locals with up to date knowledge of passability off road south of Loxwood please.
I aim to do Guildford and back in about 6 hours without going too crazy.
