Not a huge Clint fan but he has made some GREAT movies.
His best westerns aren't 'just' westerns which is what makes them great.
Unforgiven - astonishing film even ignoring genre.
Pale Rider - best 'traditional' western ever made?(pretty much the same classic western story film deconstructed in two different ways for different contexts - could probably group The Outlaw Josey Wales in with these too)
Dirty Harry - pretty much defined cop films for the next 20 years?
Then we get to the guilty pleasures.
Firefox - as a kid seemed like Star Wars set on earth to me.
Every Which Way But Loose - just plain fun.slainte
