Anyway, went to see the Raid a few days back, loved it straight to the point no nonsense action film with guns, knives and fist fights. No boring scenes and the camera work made me always feel part of the action. 🙂

filmed in genuine wobble-cam (Tm) – made me feel sick.

overly choreographed fights that went on for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssss.

    a few plot twists.

i give it an energetic 6/10.

saw it advertised, went on the love film list, didn’t look good enough for cinema – seems like it’s been mostly inspired by assault on precinct 13.

its nothing like assault on precinct 13.

It’s more of a John Woo type of film – like the end of “Hard Boiled” in the hospital – but for the whole film.

It’s OK – not as amazing as the reviews suggest

I’ve just seen it and thought it was excellent. The John Woo comparison is a good one, it’s just non-stop action for the whole film except for a few flashbacks and the tiniest bit of back story.

I do like action films though, and this didn’t disappoint in that regard.
