Just come back from a family camping trip to Somerset, staying within easy riding distance of the Quantock Hills.
I’ve not visited the Quantocks before, so took the bike along (obviously!), to put a few miles in.
Gotta say it’s an amazing place to ride. Loads of variation, great views, hard climbs and endless singletrack descents. As it was my first trip and I was cycling alone, I combined a couple of routes from the V.G. guide, taking in the descents of Smith’s Combe, Weacombe Combe, Sheppard’s / Hodder Combe and Somerton Combe. All excellent stuff and I spied loads of alternatives and cheeky options. Will be back for sure! 😀
