As opposed to what? A half-arsed downhill bike?

    Please.

Either it’s a downhill bike, or it isn’t.

A phrase from a time before we had “enduro” for bikes that are not full on downhill bikes.

I take it to mean a dh bike as opposed to a more freeride bike which might also have high travel and triple clamps etc.

From a time we had ‘freeride’ bikes (few and far between now)
    Triple clamps forks,single ring,coil shock…..’only’ 180mm travel

I had a shit half-arsed attempt at a downhill bike. I replaced it with a full-on downhill bike. It was a bit full-on really, so I replaced that with a slightly less full-on downhill bike.

And then I replaced that with full-on hybrid

I have a mini-DH bike. It isn’t a full-on DH bike. You also wouldn’t want to pedal it anywhere.

No, it’s the opposite of ‘my 160mm travel trail bike is pretty much a downhill bike because I once rode it very slowly down a downhill race track.’

Yah, to be fair that might not have been the case if any bugger’d buy it 😆

Which is similar to a ‘proper downhill track’ or a “man’s track”

Ah, now I see. ‘Full-on downhill’ bikes have proper tyres.

I love that Spesh Enduro Expert Evo with the Boxxers…..Mmmm, i reckon that would be about as ‘full on’ as i would like from a DH bike.

It’s a bit like the difference between going out, and going out out.
