    whatever the next big thing is, it’s already here.

    i hope it’s LESS travel, and/or fewer gears…

    General standardisation. Non of this individual designing of headsets or bottom brackets or mechs tying you into one marque.
    Good simple designs that can be taken from bike to bike.

    Its a real BUG BEAR of mine this subject.

    As an Engineer, the bike industry makes me cringe, too many STANDARDS surely its an impossibility. By virtue there can only be one standard at any one time.

    Hasn’t Trek/Fisher been doing this for several years? Cannondale can take the same forks with a step-down adaptor at the top.

    Well there are woods valves as well .Maybe tubes will be made in common sizes for them?
