I believe, and I may be wrong here, that the Blair Government signed a deal whereby they can own just about anything, up to, and including images of the London skyline.
I would argue, in a court of law, that while they might have control over the date using the London 2012 typeface, they have no control over that, or other common usage words in regular fonts.
But I concur, eedjits!
