My beaten, battered, but never defeated Time Z Freerides

When the world ends, in some fiery supernova of apocalyptic destruction, the only things that will remain extant will be Keith Richards, cockroaches, and my pedals. They’re that indestructible.

It is a sum of parts that makes a bike and all contribute to make the bicycle you ride. But if I must pick one bit of kit it is my erm my no its just a bike.

I quite like the self amalgamating tape on the chain stay on my Nicolai.

Actually scrap that. It’s the welds. I love the welds.

On my Karate Monkey I like the Mango seat clamp 🙂

I like my hammered-to-bits XTR cranks… Just seems to say on the one hand, I like expensive lightweight parts, but on the other I expect them to earn their keep.

I’d love a Nicolai for the fish scale welds! why you’d want to paint such an awesome piece if engineering is beyond me

I guess my favourite part is my orange seat – still as uncomfortable as **** but I love the look of it.

Although performance wise I’d have to say my u-turn Lyriks – two and a half years old and been on 21 different bikes during that time ranging from an oldschool early 2K Tazer FS to 7″ travel Uzzi and everything in between – versatility at its best.

I like my wheels. They’re lighter than virtually anything twice the price and they make the bike feel great.

I like the view from the saddle. Down my arms, over the handlebars to the agricultural 2.5 Highroller at the end of the Lyriks. It makes me feel invincible.
