What would you have?

egg and marmalade

I am partial to grated cheese and diced onion.

Chicken in white sauce.

Cheese, tomato and tomato sauce…just as long as the boiling hot tomato doesn't slide out as you bite into it and slap you on the chin, removing a layer of skin!!!!! 😈

Cheddar and philadelphia cheese, butter the outside of the bread. Nom Nom Nom

Bit of salami, extra mature cheddar, blob of brown sauce on the side.
Cor.

baked beans with mini sausages

Mars Bar! CU used to sell them in the common room at uni.

Cheese, salalmi, pineapple and jalapenos.

strong cheddar and baked beans, with marmite spread on the outside!

Oh yeah, had to be buttered on the outside of the bread.

No matter how hot a toastie is, regardless of filling, you always think "I'll just have a bite". Many a time had melted molten cheese stuck to the roof of my mouth. Ouch. And Yum. All at the same time.

Brie and parma/serrano ham does it for me.

I think some of you need to get down Boots and buy a pregnancy test. Weirdos.

i used to be partial to bacon and fried egg toasties.

pre-cook the bacon, but just crack the egg onto the bottom slice before you put the top on and shut the lid.

yum… might dig out the toastie machine when i get home.

ooh, actually, i think i have some reblochon in the fridge, maybe i'll make a croque monsieur (or a madame, with an egg on top)

Mushy peas! Batchelors tinned ones to be precise, lovely especially with some broon sauce.
Discovered one night as a student when I had nowt else to hand during an attach of the munchies.

Why are all modern sandwich makers crap. Had a old Tefal that was donkeys years old and use to do loverly toasties getting the bread a nice golden brown. I've tried a couple of new ones and I think i'd get better results toasting over a candle.

Corned beef, strong cheddar and onion.

Baked beans DO NOT work in a toastie. They become hotter than a reactor pile and the taste changes completely.

Sound good, I always make bacon, sausage, egg and marmalade sarnies, never thought of just egg and marmalade.

I don't think bacon and brie is in the spirit of the Breville. Surely it should always be cheddar based. When I were a lad I had cheddar with onion or beans or ham or nothing on heavy rotation.

I bought a toastie maker recently from Asda. £5 it cost. Much the same as the bread, cheese, beans, onion and ham. Not as good as the Breville but still does the job.
