    Worth investing 90 mins in?

Didn’t get it the start and was totally baffled by it. It might be ok, give it a go, you could always turn it off if it doesn’t float your boat.

I didn’t watch it as the trailers made it more than clear there was nothing to it.

Actually I thought it was fun in an over stylised Sunday night drivel sort of way. Not life changing but fun for a quiet night if you’ve nowt better to do and fancy switching off your brain.

Have you read the books? Did you like them?

If yes to both watch the TV version

Oldgit, there was much more to it than that. Very stylish, but it’s set in Italy, so that’s part of the appeal. Plays very much on the level of corruption within the police there and playing by the ‘rules’. I enjoyed it, but I enjoy Morse and Lewis, both very ‘filmic’.

    I wondered that.
Those trailers were dreadful, all charming eyes, dress zips and no substance. Like the old coffee ads but with no story line.

the books were good stories. I enjoyed it once I got over the Italian scenery with British regional accents bit. If you enjoy a stylish, slightly more thoughtful detective drama, it’s a good way to spend 90 mins.

Shame Rufe has stopped drinking in my local, but his mum and dad still do.
It was nicely filmed Sunday evening filler.

Distinct case of style over substance.
