As a (sometime) archaeologist, I’d like to post up a vid of meself on the tube, ranting about (1) what we now call the UK was first settled by humans nearly a million years ago (2) that, as modern humans, we ALL came from Africa (albeit probably with a bit of inter-breeding with in situ hominin populations, e.g. Neanderthals in Western Europe) (3) that things like skin colour are environmental adaptations, for fug’s sake (4) and most of all… that anything that made this country great is largely the result of us being a tolerant, utterly mongrel (think: successive waves of invaders…) heinz 57 island nation.
But I generally mumble, so it wouldn’t be very exciting to look at. 😕
