Ok chaps and chappesses, some advice please.

I’ve been living and working in nottingham for the last 13 yrs.

However despite starting a new job in Birmingham in January this is my first weekend in the city.

I know nothing about Brum whatsoever. I’ve got both afternoons free this weekend, what should I do?

I was always a big fan of the Custard Factory. TBH Brum has become unrecognisable since I lived there… for the better.

Thanks guys. Under normal circumstances pubs would be top of my list. But I’m oncall all weekend and can’t indulge.

They’re going on my To Do list for after I move here though.

    Any other thoughts?

New library, walk the canals and visit the canal side bars/cafés. Custard factory for the indie/alt scene.

You coulf do a lot worse than have a mooch in the art gallery. Or as somebody has said the canals are a nice place for a walk or ride if you have your bike. Moseley Bog if you are a Tolkien fan and remember Cannock Chase is only 40 mins away but watch out for those pebbles!

I think Mr Egg is no more.

There are 3 fairly central climbing walls?

Got the Two Towers to find too (Not that impressive but still interesting), new Library supposed to be impressive inside too. Got a car? Recce Clent/Lickey Hills/Sutton Park/Sandwell Park.. are worth a wander round on foot to find some trails & just a pleasant walkabout

Awesome, loads of suggestions. Thanks so much.

Although I may have to distract the GF while I assess the merits of the redhead 😆

Head to Adil’s in Sparkbrook, for a truly authentic curry experience.
Order a table Naan, I think they do Rasmaloy (or whatever it’s called), for pudding.
    Mmmm.
