I got a text from WebSMS in response to an advert on a car site – no number given it just says WebSMS but an email given to contact within body – anyone know if this normal if someone texts via a website or is this a text scam?

Are you buying a car, or selling?

Its dodgy, usually a prelude to the scam. You’ll reply, they’ll ask you to contact an email address. This is to get your contact going before they get pulled.

I don’t think cynic-al is looking for a car at the moment.

Use cbfsms to send them a message back.

Then get their email address and use Sharpmail to send them emails from fictitious accounts…
