For the past couple of weeks about half a dozen tents have been pitched in the Pentlands, just up from the track between the foot of Puke Hill and Torduff reservoir. Any idea who they are?

Not exactly the friendliest looking bunch, though you do get grudging “hi” when you ride by. And I have seen them working on bikes so they can’t be all bad I guess.

I’m surprised they’ve been allowed to remain there that long as it goes against the LR(S)A. However, it could be an organised thing and they have permission from the Council (Bonaly Park is council owned and is one of the few spots the Rangers will direct you to if you ask).

Judging by the pile of rubbish they’ve left by the bins, rather than in the bins, they aren’t the nicest people!

I forgot they were there and nearly piled straight throught their campsite last night on one of the wee cheeky paths coming down from the forest after scalextric.

Saw them setting up a while back now.
