I use a Chariot on my full susser for off-roading. We’ve had our little miss off road since about 8 months around Hamsterley.
We have a classic Chariot (the Cougar). With proper suspension and pneumatic tyres it must be so much smoother than a cheap trailer.
Connected to a 142 mm thru axle using the Roberts Axle project kit. I tried a few times to get the Thule branded ones but that was a faff and a half.
Smooth blue trails are great, rough fireroads are great. I’m on the brakes a lot to crawl downhill as the little miss will get shaken around a bit much if I ride as I normally would. Climbing has been problem at all, in fact the massive amount of kudos and support you get from fellow riders makes it easier than when I’m siding solo. 😆
We don’t put a helmet on her – she’s protected by the Chariot (it’s a roll cage and she’s strapped in) and there aren’t any small enough to fit anyway.
