I’ve just bought a cruiser frame, cos it was very cheap.. And I can join my little boy at the track/vert for some sessions.

Now, I need to sort a rear wheel for this machine, but am a little out of my knowledge zone when It comes to sizes, types of cog/casette etc:

    Here’s what I know-
    110 axle spacing?
    Either screw-on, or cassette?

So, I’m likely to build my own with a couple of Sun BFR rims.
Any hub manufacturer recommendations? I know I can get Chris kings, but this is a bike I’ll use occasionally. So I don’t want to spend more than I need to for strong, and reliable.

Can’t seem to find many online places who stock 24″ wheels pre-made that aren’t like £300 a pair.

It’s currently a frame only, so I also need to sort forks and other bits. I won’t be doing huge jumps or tricks on it, but I am(as my profile name suggests) I’m a heifer.
    Aargh…. This is confusing!

Could have a look at Profile, G Sport, Odyssey, maybe even Goldtech?

My Profile SS hubs are nearly a decade old. New bearings and a rear axle. Good as new. I am tempted by the new Hope BMX hubs that are available at the end of the month.

    Oh really?…. That sound interesting.
I’ll have a look for them.

I’ll also check out the profile ones.
    Ta for the hope tip.
