This is a rather wonderful thing, bought it about a year ago.
It was originally a Peavey Generation EXP tele but the only things that remain from that are the solid bod and lovely maple 1 piece kneck and fret board. It is as new, completely unmarked, hardly used.
A luthier took out all the electrics and the bridge and replaced them with original fender telecaster kit. Its been coil tapped and has a Seymour Duncan hotrails pick up and a seymour duncan lil59 bridge pick up.
It has serzel locking nuts also.
So its had £100 spent on the pickups, £75 on the luthier work and £50 on the coil tapping, £60 for the serzel nuts and £75 for the brand new hard case.
But it plays brilliantly!
It feels and sounds like a £1500 fender.
BUT the best thing is the coil tapping. This is a clever device that turns the volume knob into a alternative pick up selector which when used with the standard pick up selector gives you loads of different sounds.
for both dual pick ups you can select both either or none, and any variation of volume inbetween.
So you get the tele sound, very close to a strat sound, and a gibson full on rock sound and many variations inbetween.

come and have a go its awesome.
