    Afternoon all,

Got a new GXP threaded BB. It’s come with 2 spacers… is it one each side? There’s no diagram to show where to place them?

Going on a Cotic Soda (68mm bb).

    Thanks in advance

If you’re asking this then you should read the SRAM tech stuff (links below – BB install is p9). The principle of preloading is different to Shimano.

But yes, 68mm BB = 1×2.5 spacer each side.

Are you sure it’s 68mm on a Soda?

Every Cotic I’ve had had a 73mm BB. That said I never got as fancy as Ti 😆

The latest Soda has a 73mm shell – I presume older ones are 68mm.

As said, you normally put a spacer on each side with 68mm shells, but bear in mind that you can put both on one side, for example if you need to adjust chainline.

Yeh it’s a mk1 and it’s definitely 68mm. Thanks guys, 1 spacer each side is what I kind of figured as they are 2.5mm each.
