dunno really – I've had to work

Looks like the kind of weather that Armstrong will revel in

Yeah, remember when he won the worlds in oslo in this kind of weather.

See, I can copy the commentator too.. 😀

Is that what they said? Eurosport?

At work here I only have the raw feed from France Televisions so no commentary – maybe I could change career? 😀

Word by word, what they said.

Have you been repeating to yourself constantly about taking risks on wet, tricky descents? If so, then yes, you could change career.

Theyre 75km from the end, and they are all split up. Thats all I know.

Oh god theyre all talking about the storks. Who cares. Tell us whats happening with the race.

    EDIT:

    Peloton –> 1 minute, one rider –> 5 minutes 40 secs, 3 riders

I always remember seeing those videos of Armstrong doing early season training in the mountains in atrocious conditions & the guys in the cars wanted to quit before he did

So, is Lance going to go on the Platzerwasel? Or Evans maybe? Too wet for Evans?

could be where we see the astana loyalties split, exciting stuff. Four guys hung back to tow Armstrong back into the bunch yesterday, quite an effort considering he's not the team leader!

can this one Gerdemann bloke bridge a 5+ min gap? sounds brave, is he an awsome climber?

that's a big knock to the team. Kloden won't want to do too much work with his GC position as it is

Interesting to see none of them using mudguards – I know its not exactly racy, but its horrible riding in a bunch in the wet when the guy in front doesnt have any. Just a constant stream into your face and eyes.

I don't think the Astana team is strong enough to re-create the 'disco train' for Lance

whats the point of pushing it up this big hill when its not the end? (serious question)

Is wiggo still the main group? I can only see 1 Garmin helmet- V de V probly

Because its easier to build up a bigger gap on a hill/mountain, and then carry that gap through all the flat to the end.

Bradley dropped back to the front of the second group I think.

it's easier for smaller groups to make up time on the descent, the peloton will want to minimise the gap to prevent the advantage getting too high

    i think

I can't see why any amateur cyclist would want to use mudguards, let alone the best riders in the world, during the biggest race in the world.

I can't see why you wouldnt want to use them.

    AndyP

because they're pointless. Mind, I don't put an inflatable gherkin on my bike either.

Have you ever riden on a road bike behind someone with no mudguards in the wet for any length of time? Its not fun.

    AndyP

yes, lots. But then, I'm not water-soluble.

would they cause a lot of drag? Relatively speaking to their wafer thin bikes

Leipheimer was getting his stiches put in ten minutes ago – he Twittered it fron the operating theatre! The ITVTDF twitter coverage is really good, worth following.

My god. You're right. I just put myself in water expecting to turn into a sparkly vitamin based drink and…nothing!

RealMan. Thats quite funny, your alias, I mean.

So how many crashes on this wet descent. Absolutely throwing it down with thunder and lightning in Lausanne so must be a bit moist coming down a mountain (without mudguards)
