I haven’t done the Aubisque, but I have heard it’s a tough old climb.

I’m thinking a break for the win today.

    Sanchez’s bike is very nice..

I did the Aubisque on my Grifter when I was 8

Maybe he had a puncture during the stage or wanted a lighter less deep wheel on the front.

Why is it a breakaway stage? Cos of the finish after the descent?

Is the last climb far enough away from the end for it to be a bunch sprint day?

I reckon today’s the day people lean on contador to see what that little gap was all about yesterday – then again, I know SFA about this stuff

SBZ, it may be a sprint finish, but none of the sprinters will be there. I imagine they’ll lose 15 minutes on the climb, no way they can make that time up.

Either it’s already started or 2pm, check their website..

Don’t see Cav et al making it to the finish with the rest, unless the rest stop for coffee at the top and wait for them.

    Kloden has abandoned.

Think Lars Boom’s tour might be just about finished also.

Did anyone else really enjoys Jens Voigts’s stint at the front yesterday? Watching him hammer the pedals as the people dropped out of the back of the group was brilliant. Basso looked good though didn’t he?

Jens Voigt is proper nails. It’s amazing to see him on the front putting the serious hurt on so-called climbers.

    Boy-Sun Hagen?

Jens Voigt puts the “laughter” in “Manslaughter.”

10 man break going, so I’m guessing we won’t see any action for the sprint points.

Just found out who’s in the break:

    Lars Ytting Bak
    David Moncoutie
    Edvald Boasson Hagen
    Jérôme Pineau
    Thor Hushovd
    Vladimir Goussev
    Dmitriy Fofonov
    Jérémy Roy
    Alessandro Petacchi
    Maarten Tjallingii

Could be interesting, Thor going for green?

Is that Jens who’s just come down there?
Do you reckon the ground hurts after that impact? 😉

Hmm.. Roy’s power numbers aren’t as high as I’d have expected tbh.

Roy’s numbers have just stopped on the SRM site 🙁 I was enjoying matching the live map to the video…

Big fan of David Moncoutie, big fan..

You do know he’s a vegan yeah?

Anyway I want him to win, though Jeremy Roy’s doing rather well too, so he’ll do.

    Ripe for a Frenchie.

I’d be mincing my way down in the face of those drops at the side of the road…

When did Geraint join Roy? Last thing I heard of him he’d been dropped by the peloton? Did he get on a train or something? I’m very confused.

And I thought Kloden had abandoned? Am I watching the wrong race or something??

The drops off the side there are a wee bit airy to say the least.

Ok I think eurosport got bored of doing the live footage and substituted it with some of yesterdays footage without telling anyone, hence the confusion, and another reason why the eurosport feed is utter balls.
