Make a difference to the race? Might make it easier going up if it's cooler but I wouldn't want to be doing 100kmph on wet roads! And I bet they don't have mudguards, not even crud raceguards which is just bad manners, worse than droping an oponent after a mechanical anyday.

While I'm not happy with what Sastre is doing I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until he catches his team mate who is just ahead. If they ride on at the same pace as the peloton until Sanchez gets back on the pack, then fair enough. If they attack the peloton well, here we go again.
