A childless friend has been invited to another friends house in Yorkshire to watch the Peloton go past over the weekend of 4/5/6th July.

Problem is that this is a last minute arrangement and his wife has other plans for the weekend (visiting her family etc…).

Does said friend go watch the Tour, without wife, anyway?
Or stay at home with Wife and visit etc…

    What would you do?

What does your friend want to do? If it’s watch the TDF then you have your answer.

How often do you get the chance to visit your family?

How far is the Tour from their home?
Can’t the whole family go along. Yorkshire very welcoming, if you buy the first round/bring something.

So its not really TdF advice but life skills advice that is required.

Me… I’d go to the TdF and my explaination of my decision would be that the TdF will only come to Yorkshire once but I can and do visit the inlaws all the time.

I presume the family will still be there the weekend after the tour has been in the UK, the tour won’t be though.

    A childless friend

That’s an odd phrase and addition to the question.

Can’t people make their own decisions without needing to ask on a forum?

I’m confused. Where is the dilemma?

Oh I see, buy her a flatcap or something. She’ll be reet. The caravan will be throwing all kinds of tat out. Tell her you bought that.
