Hi, will i have to pay any import tax on used goods bought on ebay from USA?
Or does tax only apply to new goods.

tax applys to goods new or used coming to the uk for the first time !

worth noting that its not just VAT, but also import duty as well that varies according to the goods. this total (vat and duty) is payable upon the cos of goods AND shipping.

and then you also may have to pay the couriers customs clearance fee. this can be a few quid, or as i found out one, around £100. there is no set rate except that which the courier determines themselves.
