I’m just about to get a frame with a tapered headtube and I want to fit my non-tapered fork. I know hope to a product, but are any of you using other products? ~What do you guys reccommend?
    Cheers.

Superstar and on-one do a similar thing.

Having used the on-one version I’d go for the hope pick and mix option every time (and I have Hope on two bikes currently).

    What you getting?

The Superstar ones are good if you pack the bearings with grease before you fit,

Chris King also. You just need a bigger “baseplate” (that’s CK for Crown Race)

Cane Creek do mix & match separates for top & bottom of head tube.

use a works components slackset on my scandal and it works a treat. Have a hope headset on my FS and that has a special crown race to allow straight steerers.

All work as they should really…

Pretty much all the major headset manufactures have an option for you.

I’ve used a superstar and Cane Creek headset. Both worked fine for me. Cane Creek cost a little more and looks like it is better quality. Haven’t had either headset for more than 6 months so can’t comment on durability but both are still spinning fine.
