I’m beginning to have shifting issues on our fairly new tandem, with a sticky cable now slightly reluctant to change up when asked to.
The gearing is traditional 9 speed Shimano.
Before I go to the trouble of doing what I do with all the other bikes and file out the cable eyes on the frame to take a full length outer with Middleburn oilers, does anyone have any views on whether this is worthwhile or are there any better options than that?

No tandem advice I’m afraid, but please tell me exactly what Middleburn oilers are. I have a rough idea and I’m intrigued…

I would just fit Shimano SP41 full-length with sealed ferrules and not bother with the oilers. Where I did this on solo bikes, it has lasted for years with no maintenance.

SP41 in 10m coils from Parkers, now in infinite/multiple/fluoro colour choices.
