So last night I got lucky in the bike club raffle and won an Atlas FR Chainguide. Woo hoo! Now what do I do with it?

I’m in Vancouver and mostly ride XC/AM stuff, maybe a few days in the bike park. My chain does bounce off the rings on a fairly regular basis, sometimes once or twice a ride on the rough trails or bike park days, so I’m tempted to fit it. The weight penalty is nothing to worry about (145g) but I’m wondering if you get much drag from the chain on the roller?

The bike is a Heckler with Hope BB and RF Atlas cranks & bash, so it should all fit together nicely. No ISCG tabs on the Heckler, the chainguide fits onto the external BB. Will the lack of ISCG tabs cause any issues?

ISCG not an issue. I run a DRS with a Hope BB and Shimano XT chainset works great. Couldn’t get it to work with my RF atlas cranks, the chainline was just too tight.
