I've decided to head to Morroco with the bike. Before I hit the travel books and lay the floor with maps...
Experiences please.
Any must do routes...multi day adventures,crossings etc etc

Freeride Morocco - was out there with them last week - one of the best weeks Mountain biking I have ever done 
Did the Atlas traverse with KE back in 2007, it was sold as "sinuous singletrack", what a crock of sh1t!
Spent hours climbing either on tarmac or double track, to have to descend by walking as the trails were covered in boulders the size of basketballs.
Scenery is stunning, food is awesome in Marrakech and the people are very friendly but, KE's choice of route left a lot to be desired!
OK so the Atlas traverse isnt worth doing?
You might want to watch out, it can be rainy around Feb time on the coast and the high passes might be closed with snow. I'd recommend heading south, the area around Tafraoute is nice, also you could aim for some of the gorges in the south east, IIRC there was an off road loop you could do around them.

I've just been reading the same. I know this is a MTB forum but I may even leave the bike at home... Just travel simply and explore some of the mountains.
Only downside to my time off is you spend a large amount of time travelling on your jack jones...But it's either travel or Jeremy and a bag of wotsits !
