Attempted purchase thwarted by shop owner proclaiming that ‘they don’t make that one’ despite it being in stock on the Carradice website.

The bigger bags definitely need some sort of support to stop them swinging under the saddle, I usually have a pannier rack under there, or a wire carradice support. Angle makes front look higher than it really is, but they do sit high.

Here’s my shiny new Barley, on the shiny new bike. Loving both – it’s very liberating not having to stuff your pockets for a ride.
