Is there some sort of device for clamping Daddy’s bike to wee monkey’s normal bike in a tag along style?

Assuming there is, are they good or a bit mince?

    Thanks.

Bad form answering myself probably, but it turns out there is such a thing. It has a good name, too: trail-gator.

Can’t think why I didn’t put that into Google.

    yep trailgator.

I have one. They are lousy bits of kit, but with some cursing, monkey swinging bolt tighteinng and no mechanical sympathy you can get by with them.
Frankly Id rather tell Jr to stop whining and get pedalling than take it out again.

A warning – you need to clamp them up really, really tight to avoid ‘flopping’ and twisting. And even then….So many you see leaning to one side, not teaching the kid anything about balance, just how to cling on.
IMO, if you are doing anything other than a short ride round a flat park, a proper tag-along is much better.

Hmmm – thanks for the info, gents. Bike and boy will fit in a trailer if he gets tired I think so maybe I’ll just take the trailer everywhere instead.
