Can anyone recommend some freeware (ideally) which I can use to sync files on my PC with those on a pen drive which I use for work files.

I’m developing photography courses and some of the work is done at home, some at work and I need to be easily have the most up-to-date files on both my home PC and the pen drive.

Is there anything built into Windows 7 which would do this?

I use Beyond Compare. Not freeware, but bloody brilliant. I use i tto sync my work files to a card for on the road use. I also use it for synchronised backups for 3 PCs to a server.

Very easy to use, but reliable and powerful.

Yup – should have said, Dropbox and Skydrive blocked by Fife Cooncil’s web filters under the category “potentially useful work-flow tools”…
