Switching from 3x9 to 1 x 10 - what do I need

So I think I'm going to move from 3x9 on my soul.

I think I need the following - can anyone confirm if I'm missing anything important?

New 10sp chain
New 10sp cassette
New 10sp mech , can I use a short or medium cage?
A chain device (I have one in the spares box to test out)
An unramped/ single speed type chainring. I'm thinking 34 teeth to fit on my current 9sp xt chainset. Will a 10sp chain run ok on an unramped chainring
Some short chainring bolts

You seem to have it under control. I'm just using a ramped 36t 9-spd ring on mine without problems. Yes to short bolts, unless you're running a bash. A shorter mech will work too. You don't list a 10-spd shifter; I assume that's implied?

Ooops yes - I did mean to put a new 10sp shifter down too
