The Crown Estate have announced that Swinley Forest is now open again after the recent fires, and we can confirm that all of the great trails are rideable.

As has been said elsewhere swinley is untouched, most of crowthorne woods is fine too, including corkscrew. Car-wash needs renaming as it’s 3m wide now and a bit odd as the trees are all standing, the track is fine, but you can see all around – was all bushes before. The first half of wind it up (after pips seat) is fine until the fire road where it’s been dredged, and then fine again but wide as lots of trees cleared. All in all a lot better than I feared from watching the BBC! I haven’t gone further down towards the fence but suspect there’s damage as one downhill / uphill single track is now a fire road ( looking from the quarry drop offs close to corksrew )
