    It’s called a DU bushing.

    If your new shock doesn’t have them, then you’ll need to install one at each end. I’d use new ones rather than the ones from the old shock – they are very cheap and are disposable items.

    To do that you need a special tool (although you can manage it with a socket set and a hammer if you are careful).

    Think I paid less than a £1 ea from Mojo before and just tapped it on or used a vice.

    If you are fitting a new shock the chances are you have them in it already. Simple check; pop the ‘top hat’ in the end of your new shock if it fits snug then it’s good, if it rattles round then you need to fit a bushing.
